Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in Marion, Illinois. This contract is set for 13 weeks with an immediate start date. The role involves working night shift hours in a busy ICU environment, providing critical care to a diverse patient population with a focus on neuro assessments, sepsis protocols, and ventilator management. The position emphasizes resilience, critical thinking, and strong assessment skills to support the facilitys ICU team.

Job Details:

  • Location: Marion, Illinois
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Illinois nursing license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; a minimum of 2 years ICU experience (preferably 3); at least one travel assignment completed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tPA administration and assessments, massive transfusion protocols (Belmont).
  • Shift Notes: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; every other weekend and holiday rotation; holiday hours are subject to change.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 18 beds, serving both ICU and step-down patients with patient ratios of 2:1 for ICU and 3:1 for step-down. The team values hard workers, resilience, adaptability, and social candidates with excellent assessment and critical thinking skills. The facility may require floating to step-down care if needed.
