Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for the overall care and management of a designated group of patients during a specified time frame. This role requires the application of the nursing process through therapeutic interactions, while collaborating and integrating with other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, ensuring that care is tailored to each individual's needs.
• Utilize assessment and interpretation of patient data to identify and address age-specific requirements.
• Function as the primary RN, acting as a central point of contact for patient care coordination.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the principles of growth and development across the lifespan in patient care practices.
• When assigned to other hospital areas, collaborate with the Charge Nurse or RN in the new department, maintaining high standards of care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico or Multi-State RN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA).

Experience Requirements:

• Preferred: Critical Care or Emergency Nursing experience.
• Preferred: At least one year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
