The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 critical care environment with various patient care responsibilities.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ICU Nurse supporting a unit with 8 beds, caring for ventilated and sedated patients, including PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage, and titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
  • Schedule: 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotations, and possible floating to Medical-Surgical units.
  • Additional Information: ICU nurses provide primary care, work with in-house hospitalist or intensivist teams 24/7, and utilize Phillips telemetry monitors for patient tracking. Orientation includes classroom training and two shifts on the unit with a preceptor.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year(s) of inpatient critical care nursing preferred.
