Job Requirements

• Valid multi-state or Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic documentation experience required
• 0 to 6 months of related critical care or acute care experience required
• Strong knowledge of disease state management, the bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and remain detail oriented in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Must be willing to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Develop individualized plans of care in accordance with unit and nursing guidelines
• Deliver patient-centered care while considering cultural, psychosocial, and age-specific needs
• Prioritize and perform nursing interventions appropriate to the ICU and critical care patient population
• Anticipate patient and unit needs while responding effectively to changing clinical situations
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and progress accurately in the medical record
• Use proper medical terminology and clear, concise charting practices in Epic
• Provide patient and family education and support discharge teaching
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team
• Support quality improvement initiatives, education activities, and mandatory training requirements
• Complete variance reports and communicate concerns appropriately
