- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend and major holiday required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements
- Current RN license in Virginia or compact state licensure
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
- 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to read and verify rhythm strips
- Experience with mechanical ventilators, sedation, and titrating vasoactive drips/pressors required
- Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts required
- Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred
- Neuro critical care experience preferred
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Ability to successfully complete EKG testing at orientation
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for adult and geriatric patients with complex, high-acuity conditions
- Conduct ongoing assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient response to treatment
- Manage mechanical ventilation and sedation protocols in the ICU
- Titrate vasoactive drips and support hemodynamic stability
- Monitor and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with strong clinical judgment
- Perform lab draws, peripheral IV starts, and bedside monitoring as needed
- Support care for patients with sepsis, CVA, pneumonia, ARDS, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, overdose, CIWA, and other critical care diagnoses
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, coordinated, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
- Deliver compassionate support to patients and families during stressful and rapidly evolving situations
