• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential flexibility up to 16 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Unit Environment: High-acuity ICU with cardiac, neuro, and postsurgical patients
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2-3, depending on staffing and unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke certification required
• Experience with critically ill patients and complex monitoring preferred
• ECMO experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for critically ill patients with multi-system conditions
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Care for patients requiring advanced therapies and life-support modalities
• Support patients on vents, CPAP/BiPAP, pressors, CRRT, IABP, Impella, SWAN, and ECMO when applicable
• Collaborate closely with intensivists, residents, mid-level providers, rapid response staff, and the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with nursing standards and policies
• Educate patients and families while maintaining a compassionate, relationship-based approach
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety at all times
