This on-site travel nursing opportunity offers high-acuity critical care, a collaborative hospital environment, and a 13-week assignment near the Blue Ridge Mountains. ICU Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care nursing experience
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week in an on-site hospital setting

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor patients’ conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and respond promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform ongoing nursing assessments, document patient progress, and communicate relevant clinical findings
• Support patients and families through clear communication, education, and compassionate care
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality outcomes throughout the patient care experience
