Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a non-profit community hospital. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with critical conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (A-fib RVR), and others. The position requires experience with various patient types and procedures, focusing on patient monitoring, wound management, and invasive device care in both ICU and Telemetry settings.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift times are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse with at least 2 years of experience in ICU setting, with current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient types and procedures such as chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, femoral arterial sheath monitoring, arterial line, Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: Travel assignment is for a duration starting 10/19/2026 through 01/16/2027. The candidate must have completed at least one prior travel assignment and does not require floating beyond ICU level units or below within the hospital. Weekend rotations occur every other weekend. No on-call responsibilities are required. Acceptance of any professional scrub color is permitted. The unit includes 226 beds and features a mix of ICU and general care patients, including surgical, vascular, abdominal, and gastrointestinal cases, with various drips like diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin.
