Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join the healthcare team for a temporary assignment. The role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while providing health education and counseling to support patient recovery and well-being.
Job Details:
- Position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including ongoing health data assessment.
- Provide health teaching and health counseling.
- Execute therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being directly to patients or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
- Required Skills & Experience: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing; 1 year of ICU nursing experience; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
