Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating critical nursing care for patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The position requires a dedicated nursing professional capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift (12-hour shifts), minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license in the state of practice, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Additional certifications or continuing education may be necessary based on area of practice.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Professional certification related to intensive care nursing is advantageous.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, formulating individualized care plans, providing direct patient care, delegating tasks appropriately, evaluating patient responses, and documenting all aspects of care accurately. The nurse will participate in clinical research activities when applicable and contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members is essential to facilitate effective communication and care coordination.
