ICU Float Pool Registered Nurse (ICU RN) – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:30 | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
    • Weekend Coverage: 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule cycle (Saturday/Sunday).
    • Holiday Coverage: Required based on unit coverage needs.
    • On-Call / Standby: No mandatory call; if placed on standby due to low census, response time requirement is 30 minutes.
    • Schedule Posting: Schedules are released 4 weeks in advance and may be adjusted up to 2 weeks prior based on facility operational needs.
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment | 2 Open Positions | Job ID: 1190462 | AUTO OFFER POSITION(for candidates with 7 days or less of PTO; holiday time off requires manager approval)

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Level I Trauma Center Experience [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical experience in a Level I Trauma Center strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Mandatory Pre-Assignment Competency Testing [HARDSTOP]: Must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia Examination prior to contract release (minimum 80% passing score; maximum 2 attempts permitted. Failure results in a 6-month Do Not Use [DNU] status across the regional system) [HARDSTOP].
  • Day 1 Pass/Fail Simulation Lab [HARDSTOP]: Mandatory Pass/Fail SIMs Lab on Day 1 evaluating sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and Central Line dressing changes [HARDSTOP].
  • Mandatory Floating Scope & Flexibility [HARDSTOP]: Must agree to float across all ICU units (Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Cardiothoracic) as well as Telemetry/Med-Surg units, including floating to regional sister campuses (Westgate and Laveen). Refusal to float is strictly prohibited [HARDSTOP].
  • Radius Restriction [HARDSTOP]: Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the facility (verified via Driver's License; no local rates permitted) [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure: Active Arizona RN License OR Active Multi-State Compact RN License strictly required at start (willing to wait for licensure at submission).
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (Stroke Certification) preferred.
  • Experience Baseline: Minimum 2 years of dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical experience required.
