ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse delivers exceptional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing standards. The role involves carrying out functions in alignment with hospital policies, mission, and the standards defined by professional and regulatory guidelines while directing, coordinating, and delegating activities to support patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care tailored to patient and family needs.
• Execute appropriate interventions based on individual patient requirements.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for delivering quality patient care, enhancing patient satisfaction, and fostering professional development.

Shift Notes:

This position requires a commitment to working three 12-hour shifts per week with a guarantee of 36 hours. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position.

Certification Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - A copy is required at the time of submission.

State License Requirements:

Applicants must possess an active nursing license in Michigan at the time of submission. Verification is required through the appropriate state licensing authorities.

Attendance Policy:

The organization has instituted a strict attendance policy, allowing for up to three instances of absence or lateness exceeding 20 minutes before termination of employment. Any exceptions, such as illness or hospitalization, will be considered with supporting evidence.
