ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This position requires a skilled ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care within a specialized unit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a unique patient population and possess the necessary certifications.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
Participate in holiday rotation and work during designated holidays.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting is required.
Travel experience is preferred.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI. MAB is acceptable in lieu of CPI.
Ability to work comfortably within a prison population.

Shift Information

The position involves night shifts, working 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Holiday Requirements

Contract nurses will be expected to participate in the holiday rotation, which includes working 3 of the following 6 holidays: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Nurses may arrange schedule swaps with peers to accommodate personal preferences whenever feasible.
