ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Description
Job Overview:
ICU Registered Nurses provide specialized care to critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients in a high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory status, and other vital signs.
- Observe patients for changes in condition or signs of distress.
- Provide direct nursing care and administer prescribed treatments and medications.
- Monitor and document patient responses to care.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and care.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
Must-Haves:
- Active RN license
- ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Experience caring for medical, surgical, and/or trauma patients
- Strong patient monitoring and critical-care skills
BLS - RN State License
