Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ICU acute care experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Multidisciplinary ICU providing care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• Uses advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU acute care experience in a US hospital required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Valid US SSN required for consideration

• Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Fulfill the care needs of critically ill patients, families, and the community
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
