Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nursing position located in the Chicago suburbs. This role involves providing specialized critical care to neuro and stroke patients in a hospital setting. The position is scheduled for overnight shifts, with a start date of September 27, 2026, and a contract duration of 12 weeks.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: IL license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, EPIC charting experience, two or more years of strong ICU experience specifically in neuro and stroke care; submit with a passed EKG test.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of ICU experience.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes eight hours of non-billable classroom and EKG training on the first day, followed by a 12-hour unit orientation. The position requires willingness to float to other inpatient units and Northshore worksites including Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook. The role does not include on-call duties or weekend requirements, but involves working every other holiday as needed. Certifications are due the Thursday before the start date.
