Job Summary:
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN in an acute care facility. This role involves providing high-acuity care to patients with diverse diagnoses, including respiratory failure, ARDS, CHF, COPD, post surgical, and CVA cases, among others. The position requires collaboration with a dedicated ICU team and adherence to unit-specific policies and procedures.
Job Details:
- Certifications Required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS (American Heart Association)
- Education: Valid license to submit, relevant certifications, and specialty certification in ICU preferred
- Location Requirements: Experience in hospital acute care setting; ICU experience of at least 3 years; EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last year
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years in ICU nursing; experience with titrating drips such as pressors, sedatives, paralytics, insulin, and heparin
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days) from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting for a term from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, titration of critical drips, drawing labs, interpreting EKGs, and collaborating with ICU team members
- Additional Requirements: Must complete two orientation shifts, including classroom and preceptor-led unit orientation; must clock in and out at the facility; work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts within 6 weeks; holiday work at managers discretion; no call or standby requirements; float as needed to cover up to 5 patients
- Submission of supervisor reference from the most recent or current assignment is required; must note if clinician has worked for the organization before
