Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in a hospital setting. The position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute kidney injury (AKI), vascular issues, strokes, and patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy management. Knowledge of Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is preferred, with trained staff comfortable with Impellas, IABP, and Prismax systems.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Additional consideration given to candidates with Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to progressive care units (PCU) or medical/surgical units.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a 14-bed adult ICU serving patients aged 16 years and older. The team manages serious medical conditions including sepsis, shock, and stroke, utilizing advanced therapeutic devices and systems.
