Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • NIHSS required
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Experience with critical care equipment and advanced monitoring preferred
  • ECMO experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to float to other levels of care as needed
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses
  • Administer medications and manage complex therapies in accordance with nursing standards
  • Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
  • Support patients requiring advanced respiratory support and life-sustaining modalities
  • Collaborate closely with intensivists, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff
  • Assist with care related to ventilators, pressors, CRRT, IABP, Impella, SWAN, and ECMO when applicable
  • Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality outcomes at all times
  • Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families during critical illness
