Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,141 per week

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Scheduled Details

Shift: 12-hour nights; 1900-0730, three shifts per week.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department.
• Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills.
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs.
• Capability to work without a vascular access team.
• Experience calling on own consults and conducting own codes.
• Experience with open-heart patients on Day 2 or Day 3 with pacer wires.
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1, at maximum.

License/Certification Requirements

• Kansas RN or Compact RN License.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Floating Requirements

Candidates will be expected to float to various inpatient units including ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED, ideally with prior experience in these areas.

Weekend Requirements

Availability to work every other weekend is required.

Holiday Requirement

Travelers must be willing to work one holiday from each of the following groups:

• Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday
• Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day

Orientation Requirements

Orientation will include:

• First two days at the primary location.
• Day three - Olathe orientation and Director of Nursing training.
• Day four - Olathe Director of Nursing training.
• Day five - Virtual Epic training.

Additional Notes

• The facility is a nicotine-free environment.
• All orientation hours are considered non-billable.
• Current EMR utilized is EPIC.
• Bi-weekly pay period.
• Cancellation policy allows for one shift cancellation per two-week pay period without penalty.
• A minimum notice of 2 hours will be provided via designated scheduling software.
