Job Summary:
A Healthcare Provider is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing high-acuity care in a teaching facility, focusing on a mixed medical-surgical and thoracic/cardiovascular patient population. The ICU team is supported by a dedicated internal medicine team and respiratory therapists available around the clock.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS (American Heart Association), minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, and recent Epic electronic health record experience within the last year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titratable medication drips such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, insulin, heparin; proficiency in EKG interpretation and lab draws; experience with ventilators, BiPAP, HiFlow Nasal Cannula; at least 2 years of recent hospital acute medical-surgical experience.
- Additional Information:
- Orientation includes two shifts with classroom and unit training.
- Must work a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule block.
- Holiday work is at the discretion of management; no holiday RTO is permitted.
- Floating may be required; travelers will be assigned patient teams up to five patients and are first to float.
- Scrub color is black; all clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
- No tube station available; nurses are expected to draw labs and perform EKGs independently.
- Certification of ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required; license submission is required.
