ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, managing complex health conditions.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, documenting care and progress accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding treatment options and care plans.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

This is a day shift position requiring 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as scheduled. A self-scheduling system will be utilized to accommodate work/life balance.

Unit Details

The ICU unit provides care for adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of critical diagnoses, including but not limited to DKA, COPD, acute respiratory failure, pneumonia, sepsis, and cardiac emergencies. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, ensuring high-quality personalized care.

• Floating within the specialty unit and other related units may be required.
