Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in Prescott, Arizona. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex health conditions in a fast-paced environment. The position requires specialized skills in managing acute and critical illnesses, with an emphasis on patient safety, assessments, and life support interventions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice nursing, at least 2 years of ICU experience, and certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IABP and Prismaflex CRRT is preferred; strong EKG interpretation skills; proficiency in weaning/troubleshooting ventilators; ability to interpret ABGs; experience working with critical care drips such as pressors, sedatives, and anticoagulants.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other ICU or PCU areas as needed based on staffing needs.
  • Additional Information: The unit covers a wide variety of critical patients, including post-surgical, COVID-19, neuro, cardiovascular, and trauma cases. Nurses need to be capable of troubleshooting ventilators and managing monitors. The orientation includes hospital-wide and unit-specific training, with preceptors and buddy shifts to facilitate onboarding. The unit operates with a team of in-house intensivists and RTs 24/7, with the use of advanced ventilator and monitoring equipment.
