Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized care within a cardiac-heavy unit that manages vasoactive drips and rhythm management. The position is for night shifts, and the RN will work in a fast-paced environment requiring bedside assessment, intervention, and coordination of care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 3-12 hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 12/21/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); minimum of 2 years experience in critical care nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic charting system, vasoactive drips, and rhythm management knowledge.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This unit is a designated stroke area with approximately 18 beds. Nurse/patient ratio is 1:4 in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and less in ICU. The unit mainly handles cardiac patients requiring intensive monitoring, vasoactive medications, and rhythm interpretation. The candidate should be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with a focus on cardiovascular care.
