MICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MICU Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic 28-bed ICU environment across two units, focusing on multi-system failure cases and various complex diagnoses, including sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with institutional protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Work schedule to include every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Available hours: 36 or 48 per week for a duration of 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Level 1 Experience required.
• CPR certification (BLS and ACLS) is mandatory.
• Previous experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.
• Must adhere to the float policy as outlined by the institution.
• Must be willing to submit with a VA license pending.

Additional Information

• Approval for time off up to 40 hours is available.
• Back-to-back weekends off cannot be approved.
