Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care for patients in a high-acuity ICU setting specializing in trauma, neuro, and cardiovascular cases. The role requires managing complex patient conditions within a Level 1 trauma center, and candidates must demonstrate proficiency in neuro or cardiovascular ICU experience.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience including neuro or cardiovascular ICU experience.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include providing care for trauma, neuro, CV, and other critical patients, interpreting own telemetry strips, and floating between three ICUs as needed.
  • Experience with ventilators, Bipap, Airvo, and titration of drips such as Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, vasopressors, and insulin is required.
  • RN must be available for self-scheduling and may work up to three weekends per month, with potential holiday flexibility.
  • No additional call or standby shifts required, but occasional low census may occur.
  • Orientation includes 1-2 days of unit-specific training, with skills validation for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices.
  • Candidates must be licensed to submit, and the facility's charting system is Cerner.
  • No facility, hospital, or organization names are included.
