Job Details

• Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 1/11/2027
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 36 hours, with the option to work 48 hours depending on staffing needs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Setting: ICU float pool supporting critical care and intermediate care units

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float within scope of practice across ICU and intermediate care areas
• Strong critical care skills, including ventilator management, dysrhythmia interpretation, procedural sedation monitoring, and advanced patient monitoring
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in high-acuity critical care settings
• Float to multiple ICU and intermediate care units as needed, including medical ICU, surgical trauma, coronary care, thoracic cardiovascular, and neuro critical care units
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including ventilated patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic and neurological monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and other clinical support services
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining excellent clinical standards and patient safety
• Follow floating and scheduling policies while contributing to a positive, team-oriented healthcare environment
