ICU RN | Montgomery, AL | 13 Weeks

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a mixed-acuity Progressive Care/ICU unit. This unit cares for intermediate care patients as well as non-vented ICU-level patients, with a strong focus on neurological and post-procedural care.

Shift:

• 3x12 Nights

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• 36 Guaranteed Hours

Pay:

• Up to $2,048/week

Requirements:

• Active RN License

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIHSS

• Minimum 1 Year ICU Experience

• First-Time Travelers Accepted with 2+ Years ICU Experience

Patient Population:

• Post-TNK Stroke Patients

• Neuro IR Procedures

• Hemorrhages & Aneurysms

• Craniotomy/Craniectomy Patients

• VP Shunts

• Spinal Cord Injuries

• Sepsis

• Respiratory Failure

• CHF

• DKA

• Acute Neurological Diagnoses

Skills Required:

• BiPAP/CPAP Management

• Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation

• Hemodynamic Monitoring

• CVP Monitoring

• Chest Tubes

• Tracheostomy Care

• Post-Surgical Drains

• Titration of Critical Care Drips

Common Drips:

• Cardizem

• Dobutamine

• Dopamine

• Esmolol

• Insulin

• Cardene

• Nitro

• Levophed

• Epinephrine
