Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Tennessee RN license or compact multi-state RN license
• Current Nursys report with active license status
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in critical care or acute care settings
• Charting system experience required
• Comfort working with a secure patient population and following safety protocols
• Prepared to complete pre-start EKG and sedation testing
• Ability to meet compliance deadlines and onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to ICU and stepdown-level patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, and post-operative complications
• Deliver care for ventilated patients and support advanced respiratory interventions
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, IV drips, vasoactive medications, and blood product administration
• Assist with bedside procedures and conscious sedation workflows
• Perform thorough assessments, accurate documentation, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response support
• Float to other units when needed and provide safe, flexible coverage based on patient acuity
• Participate in the holiday rotation as assigned by the facility
