Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) at a healthcare organization in California. This position involves providing specialized, patient-centered care within a fast-paced ICU environment. The RN will perform assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations to ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for critically ill patients. Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state; at least 1 year of ICU experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to work assigned shift hours and meet staffing requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and experience in a shared services or supplemental staffing environment
- Additional Information: The RN functions out of a home department and is reassigned to a patient care department where staffing needs arise. Responsibilities include performing assessments, care planning, refining clinical skills, and applying theoretical concepts to practice. The role may require participation in on-call rotation based on departmental needs. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure optimal patient care and team collaboration.
