Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina.

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

This position offers a night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a holiday rotation requirement. Nurses will work with a patient ratio of 1:4 and will be expected to participate in a weekend rotation, specifically every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Float between ICU and Stepdown units as required, similar to expectations set for current staff nurses.
  • Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
  • Respond to patient needs with a focus on safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with prior ICU and/or Stepdown nursing experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid South Carolina nursing license or Compact license is required prior to start.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred.

Additional Information

  • Travelers should note that during hurricane season (June to November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
  • Approval for block scheduling requests will be considered but is not guaranteed.
  • The facility allows for the cancellation of one shift every two weeks for staffing needs.
  • Free parking is available on-site for all staff.
