Position Overview

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while offering advanced medical support. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, adapt to changing situations, and work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 25
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Unit Staffing Description: Charge Nurse and Unit Secretary available from 7 AM to 11 PM; no tech available.
• Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps, GE monitors
• Documentation System: MediTech
• Scheduling Requirements: Self-scheduling with work commitment of every third weekend
• Floating Policy: Travel and Agency staff are the first to float. Floating to telemetry to take on patients is allowed; other areas as support only.
• Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET training

Qualifications

• Must have critical care experience.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Adaptability to change is crucial.
• Advanced skills in neuro and trauma are a plus.
• Procedures performed on the unit include open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchial procedures, CRRT, and Impella.
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS.

Dress Code

Scrubs in Royal Blue are required.
