Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located at a healthcare facility in Fredericksburg, TX. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a busy ICU environment, requiring independent decision-making, excellent multi-tasking skills, and compassionate patient care. The position supports a team-focused setting with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, Texas state nursing license, a minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in charge nurse roles, ability to multi-task and think independently, friendly, honest, flexible, compassionate, and strong critical thinking skills
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The role involves working on a unit with 10 beds, utilizing Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell medication dispenser, GE EKG machines, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. The EMR used is Meditech Expanse. Candidates should have a professional and adaptable personality suited to a dynamic ICU environment.
