Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in a medical-surgical intensive care environment within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced patient care for critically ill adults and geriatrics, utilizing specialized skills and certifications to manage complex clinical situations.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Medical-Surgical ICU
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours weekly
- Start Date: 09/22/2026
- End Date: 12/22/2026
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS* (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS* (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Required Qualifications: Certifications listed above, valid license in the relevant state or jurisdiction, 2 years of relevant ICU experience preferred, experience charting in Epic or similar systems, clinical skills including arterial line management, ventilator management, infection prevention, and more.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in trauma level I or II environments, LTAC experience, community hospital experience, travel experience.
- Additional Details:
- Patient ratios: 1:2 during nights
- Clinical responsibilities include managing ports, administering chemotherapy, care of ventilated patients, central line care, neuro and stroke management, procedural sedation, and use of special equipment like CRRT and TAVR.
- Staff support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation, radiology, and rapid response teams.
- All onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; hours are non-billable and completed onsite during orientation.
- Compliance rules exclude candidates residing in specific counties and require valid state or compact licensure and listing of all RTO at the time of submittal.
