Job Opportunity – Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7 on/7 off rotating schedule. Monday-Friday 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM, with 24-hour coverage Saturday-Sunday during on-call weeks. Paid for standard 40 hours per week.

Highlights:
  • On-call coverage for hospice patients with focus on comfort care and symptom management
  • Utilize HCHB (Homecare Homebase) electronic medical records system
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Participate in IDT meetings to review and revise patient care plans
  • Provide holistic, family-centered care consistent with National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization standards
  • Rotating 7 on/7 off schedule provides excellent work-life balance
Requirements:
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Extensive hospice nursing experience required
  • Prior hospice on-call experience required
  • Hospice admissions experience required
  • Proficiency with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR system
  • Strong assessment and pain management skills
  • Excellent communication and teaching abilities with patients, families, and caregivers
