- Critical thinking skills and emotional stability in emergency settings
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Ability to develop and maintain records and communicate clinical data verbally and in writing
Description:
The Community Health Nurse (CHN) provides, teaches, supervises, and documents nursing care for sick and injured individuals in their homes.
The CHN intervenes to promote, maintain, or restore health to prevent illness and facilitate rehabilitation.
The CHN collaborates with healthcare providers, professionals, and community representatives to coordinate home care.
The CHN evaluates the response of individuals and families to interventions.
Independent judgment and action are essential.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise others are required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
Must be willing to accept on-call responsibilities.
Flexibility in work hours is necessary.
History of dependability in meeting work schedule commitments is required.
Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted upfront.
The ability to drive in inclement weather is required.
A history of flexibility in assuming varied assignments is preferred.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
Experience with self-scheduling of caseload is preferred.
