Job Description & Requirements
Registered Nurse – Home Health - Travel - (HH RN)
StartDate: 10/26/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2308.00 - $2426.00

This Home Health Registered Nurse opportunity is based in the Marysville, Pennsylvania area, a charming small town nestled along the Susquehanna River. Marysville offers a quiet, close-knit community feel with the added benefit of being just a short drive from Harrisburg, giving you convenient access to bigger-city amenities while enjoying a slower pace of life at home. The region is ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors and scenic landscapes. You are within easy reach of Susquehanna River views, fishing, kayaking, and walking paths, as well as nearby trail systems and access points to the Appalachian Trail. The area’s rolling hills, wooded ridges, and scenic overlooks provide a beautiful backdrop to both work and daily life, while local parks, small shops, and family-owned restaurants contribute to a welcoming community atmosphere. In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes across Marysville and the surrounding communities. Your typical day will include driving to patient residences, conducting comprehensive assessments, administering treatments, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team. You will monitor vital signs and symptoms, provide medication education, teach disease management strategies, and help patients and families understand their plan of care so they can remain safely and comfortably at home. Responsibilities may include start-of-care assessments, routine follow-up visits, wound care, catheter care, ostomy management, IV therapy (if applicable), and chronic disease management for conditions such as heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and post-surgical recovery. You will collaborate closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as social workers and home health aides, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care. The schedule typically involves daytime shifts with some flexibility to organize your visits based on patient needs and agency scheduling guidelines. Weekend or on-call rotations may be required, depending on agency operations. Patient caseloads are designed to be manageable, allowing you time for thorough assessments, documentation, and meaningful patient education during each visit. This home health nursing role is particularly well-suited to nurses who value autonomy and the opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships with patients and families over time. You will work with a supportive leadership group and clinical team that emphasizes collaboration, ongoing education, and quality patient outcomes. As home health continues to grow, this position offers a clear pathway to further specialization in areas like wound care, chronic care management, palliative support, or leadership roles within community-based nursing. You will gain valuable experience in community health, case management, and in-home clinical practice, which can be a strong addition to your professional portfolio and an excellent foundation for future career advancement in ambulatory care, care coordination, or advanced practice roles.
