Contract: 20 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours
Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes. Candidates must have skilled home health experience, including OASIS training, strong IV and phlebotomy skills, and wound care experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home health visits and comprehensive cardiopulmonary assessments.
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients with heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, stroke, and post-operative conditions.
- Perform wound care, wound VAC dressing changes, and ABI compression dressing.
- Manage PICC lines, midlines, IVs, and subcutaneous ports.
- Perform venipuncture, lab draws, and medication administration.
- Provide Foley catheter care and catheter changes.
- Perform staple and suture removal.
- Manage PleurX/Asept drainage systems and monitor blood glucose using a glucometer.
- Administer IM and subcutaneous injections.
- Educate patients and support safe recovery at home.
- Complete required documentation and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active Florida or Compact RN license in hand at submission.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- Skilled home health experience required.
- OASIS training and experience required.
- Strong IV, phlebotomy, and wound care skills.
- Recent patient care experience within the last 3 months.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for home visits.
- Private-duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted.
