Registered Nurse - GI Lab

Position Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the GI Lab. The position involves working weekdays with a schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, including on-call duties during the week and weekends. The contract duration is for 13 weeks.

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for performing a variety of GI and pulmonary interventional procedures, including but not limited to:

• Colonoscopy
• Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Bronchoscopy
• Feeding tube placement
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
• Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
• Management of gastrointestinal bleeds
• Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
• Foreign body retrieval
• Navigation bronchoscopy
• Variceal banding
• Bravo manometry
• Capsule endoscopy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in the GI specialty.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Holidays Expectations

Candidates must be willing to work during major and minor holidays, including:

• 2 out of the following 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
• 1 minor holiday: Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve
