Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Skilled Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Current WI License Certifications: CPR Must-Have: Education verification Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our Skilled Nursing units. The candidate must have an education verification, a current WI License, and CPR certification. The traveler may be asked to float to other in-patient units due to census. This position is a 0.9 FTE day shift from 0630 to 1900. It requires working every third weekend and participating in a holiday rotation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
