TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Geriatrics/SNF RN in Cook, Minnesota, 55723!

Job Title: LTC/SNF RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: LTC/SNF Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 8 and 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - RN license - BLS certification Description: LTC RN position available for short-term rehab and long-term care. The facility includes private rooms with a typical census of 23-28 beds. The current EMR system is Meditech, which will switch to a new system in June 2024. RN will cover one shift per day with a staff ratio of 1 RN for 23-28 patients. No IV certification is needed for LPNs. Common diagnoses include Dementia, COPD, CHF, Diabetes Mellitus, and Hypertension. Job duties include initial assessments, medication administration, and overseeing CNAs. Additional responsibilities involve skin and pain assessments, admissions, wound care, and pressure ulcer prevention. Family involvement and communication are also essential. A mechanical total lift system is available for patient lifting. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. RNs are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab. Physicians are available 24/7 on the hospital side. The interdisciplinary team includes physical and occupational therapy with daily meetings. Pharmacy services are provided on-site, with bubble packs available. Day shifts are from 0600 to 1430, evening shifts from 1415 to 2245, and night shifts from 2230 to 0700. RNs may be asked to rotate between different shifts to meet operational needs. Weekend work is required every other week. Holiday rotation may be required. There are no call or standby requirements, nor are there floating requirements. Scrub colors are flexible. Department-specific orientation consists of general training followed by shifts with an educator and preceptor.
