Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Float Nurse provides specialized critical care nursing services within a children's hospital located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. This position involves working in pediatric intensive care units and floating to various acute care floors, including the pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, and cardiac intensive care unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill children in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-Hour Nights, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BSN required; Colorado RN license required; minimum 2 years pediatric critical care experience; prior travel experience; certifications including BLS, PALS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior float team experience and ICU experience preferred
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: Positions are for Critical Care Float Team RNs primarily floating to PICU, NICU, CICU, North and South Campuses, and acute care floors. Assignments include 1:1 patient observation. No RTO is approved within the first two weeks of the assignment, and no December or holiday RTO is permitted. Medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed and must include an exemption request form.
