Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Float at a healthcare organization in Colorado Springs. This position involves providing specialized pediatric critical care services across multiple units, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Medical Surgical (Med Surg). The assignment offers flexibility with a focus on clinical excellence and team collaboration during 12-hour night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BSN degree, Colorado RN license, Epic electronic medical record experience, pediatric experience, at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience, BLS certification, PALS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP certifications, and required minimum experience as specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, strong critical thinking skills, excellent time management, team player, patient advocate, flexible, dependable, and collaborative.
- Additional Information:
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 observed holidays.
- Must be available for a maximum of 4 days of total return to orientation (RTO).
- No RTO approved within the first two weeks of the assignment.
- No float required; however, float policy allows shifting to other units within clinical competency if needed.
- Assignment runs from 10/20/2026 to 01/23/2027.
- Critical care RNs primarily float to PICU, NICU, and Med Surg.
- The position may require working within a 35-mile radius of the assigned facility.
- Medical and religious influenza vaccination exemption requests are permitted with appropriate documentation.
