Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float (Telemtry MS Float) at a healthcare facility in a general location. This position involves providing patient care across various units, including telemetry and medical-surgical departments, with potential float assignments to different areas including psychiatric annex and lower-acuity surgical units. The role requires flexibility to float to multiple units and adapt to diverse patient care needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active New Hampshire (NH) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; up-to-date resume showing 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting and documenting relevant travel experience; skills checklist matching specialty; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses; RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission; experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred but not required; ability to handle Cardizem and Insulin Drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not diabetic ketoacidosis), Phenobarbital on Tele; willingness to consider first-time travelers with good experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred but not required; ability to float to psych annex and lower acuity units as needed; flexibility to float on an emergency basis to another hospital location.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other units and facilities.
- Additional Information: Candidates may be asked to float to additional locations on an emergency basis. The position involves night shifts and requires certification and experience appropriate for medical-surgical telemetry settings.
