Registered Nurse (RN) - IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience, including at least one travel assignment. This position requires a thorough understanding of telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and patient care in Intermediate Care Units (IMC) and Progressive Care Units (PCU).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in IMC and medical units.
Float between various units, including IMC, medical-surgical, and telemetry, as needed.
Occasionally care for medicine/IMC level boarders in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage patients experiencing dysrhythmias.

Qualifications:

Minimum two years of nursing experience required.
Completion of at least one travel assignment is preferred.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
Candidates must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least an 80% overall score and a 100% score on lethal rhythms.
Experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, stepdown, and telemetry units is essential.

Scheduling Requirements:

Day shift, working three 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).
Weekend and holiday work as needed, based on hospital demands.

Unit Information:

IMC: 15 bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
MedSurg: 44 bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
Telemetry: 34 bed unit.

All employees are required to have the flu vaccine. Scrubs are not provided; Caribbean Blue is the designated color for uniforms. Registered Nurses will report to the staffing office for float assignments. Join our team and make a difference in patient care!
