Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

A skilled Registered Nurse is needed for an Acute Care Float position, with assignments made by the nursing supervisor as staffing needs arise. This role involves providing care across various medical specialties and requires adaptability and teamwork.

Shift and Hours

• Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)
• Length: 12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break

Patient Care Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratios will vary based on the needs of the unit but typically maintain a standard of 1 nurse to 6 patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Must possess an active, unencumbered Tennessee (or multi-state) RN license
• Cerner EMR experience is essential

Travel and Scheduling Requirements

• First-time travelers are considered for the role
• Weekend availability required every other weekend
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• No on-call duties required
