Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Float Registered Nurse to join our hospital float pool team. This position requires versatility as you will be floating throughout various units, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.

Position Details

• Floating: This is a float pool position, with patient-to-nurse ratios up to 1:6 in Medical-Surgical units.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is required.
• Call Requirement: None.
• Schedule Requests: Due to the nature of pool staffing, candidates must be flexible; block schedule requests are not accepted.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. The unit accepts first-time travelers.

Offer and Compliance

• Aya Offer: Upon signing and confirmation, the manager will have 48 hours to review your profile and confirmation to ensure a perfect fit for the unit and schedule.
• RTO: A maximum of 7 days is allowed for return to work dates.

Holiday Policy

Travelers are expected to work during holiday periods as follows:

• If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler must work it.
• If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work both.
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work two out of the three.

Major Holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance may result in a delay of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Other Information

• This position is open to local candidates at the same rate of pay.
• The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the length of the contract (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
