Shift: Rotating Shifts

Required

• Active RN State License
• BLS
• RN First Assistant (RNFA) skills/experience
• Perioperative nursing experience
• Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon during surgical procedures
• RNFA functions directly under the supervision of the surgeon during the surgical procedure
• Must not function simultaneously as the scrub nurse
• Core Mandatory Nursing exams/requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Perform professional RN functions including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care
• Assist the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Promote cooperation among the healthcare team
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the RNFA role
• Follow facility policies and guidelines
• Report directly to the Director of Perioperative Services
