Job Title: Procedure Center RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of acute or outpatient experience required License: Active RN License in California Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: General surgery experience required EMR experience required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong skills in pediatric patient care Description: The Procedure Center RN will provide nursing care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient pediatric cases, with adult cases on rare occasions. Candidates must have experience related to general surgery and be willing to work with minor surgical cases, including ENT, Plastics, General Surgery, Opthalmology, Urology, Dentistry, and Oncology. Documentation will be completed using the Cerner system. The RN will be expected to respond to code situations and administer blood products as necessary. Flexibility to float as required and to work weekends is necessary. Candidate should have prior experience in a similar setting and be open to training in endoscopy if needed. All candidates must be prepared to handle a daily census of 35-40 pediatric patients and demonstrate proficiency in the listed surgical procedures. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for working with interdisciplinary teams.
