DAY-SHIFT ENDOSCOPY / GI RN CONTRACT – METRO DETROIT ACUTE CARE MEDICAL CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Endoscopy / GI Registered Nurse (RN) in Detroit, Michigan. Operating within the Endoscopy GI unit across a 6-room recovery setting at a major regional hospital, this position offers a structured daytime schedule with flexible start times (07:00 AM / 08:00 AM - 17:00 PM). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,782.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,582.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $30.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $45.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours / 5x8-Hours (Flexible start times between 07:00 AM and 08:00 AM to 17:00 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Weekend Requirements: Limited Saturday coverage expectation.
  • On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate applies at $5.00/hr ($142.50/hr call-back rate).
  • Clinical Scope & Responsibilities: Receives and manages post-procedure endoscopy/GI patients recovering from moderate-to-deep sedation or general anesthesia across a 6-room recovery suite. Supports both scheduled outpatient procedures and inpatient add-on cases. Executes pre- and post-procedural nursing assessments, patient/family education, recovery monitoring, and care coordination.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Clinical nursing experience in Endoscopy / GI procedural or PACU/recovery settings.
  • Licensure: Active Michigan State Board of Nursing License must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
